METEOROLOGICAL DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

Current Organization and Programme Composition

Currently, the following divisions exist in the schedule of the Established Offices for the Meteorological Department:

Director's Office

This division is responsible for policy guidance on both technical and administrative matters and oversees the following offices:

• Human Resource Management Office.

• Finance Office

• Administration Office

Monitoring and Prediction System

This division is responsible for the planning and co-ordination of monitoring and prediction of weather and climate and the development of the meteorological station network, it oversees the following offices:

•  National Forecasting Office

•  Observatory Office

•  Communications Office

•  Station Network Development Office

•  Meteorological Engineering

WEATHER AND CLIMATE SERVICES

This division is responsible for the planning of weather and climate services including
the commercialization of those services. It oversees the following offices:

•  Aeronautical Meteorological Office.

•  Agrometeorological Office.

•  Climate office.

•  Public Weather Services

• Information Technology Office.
